Legal Administrative Assistant- Tysons

We are excited to offer an excellent opportunity for a skilled and motivated Legal Administrative Assistant to join our team in our Tysons office. This full‑time, in-office position provides meaningful legal administrative support across all of Hirschler’s practice areas and offers the chance to be an integral part of a dynamic, collaborative environment.

The ideal candidate brings prior legal administrative experience, preferably within a broad‑based practice, and enjoys supporting busy attorneys while keeping operations running smoothly. In this role, you’ll handle a wide range of responsibilities, including document management; opening and closing files; calendaring; time entry and billing; travel and meeting coordination; preparation of closing and pleadings binders; and other special projects as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage attorney calendars, including court deadlines, hearings, mediations, and trials.
  • Prepare, proofread, and edit legal documents and correspondence.
  • Conduct legal research and gather relevant information as needed.
  • Organize and maintain case files (electronic and paper) in compliance with firm procedures.
  • Coordinate meetings, depositions, and travel arrangements.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years previous legal administrative support experience required; experience in a broad-based legal practice preferred.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office required; typing speed of 75 wpm or better and experience using a document management system preferred.
  • Ability to multi-task, meet tight deadlines and adapt to changing priorities necessary.
  • Attention to detail required.
  • Demonstrated superior communications skills, both verbal and written, necessary.
  • Demonstrated commitment to client service.
