Hirschler, a multispecialty mid-sized law firm headquartered in Virginia with a national presence, is seeking an employee benefits attorney with experience in executive compensation and ERISA issues. 

Candidates should have 4+ years of experience in a variety of employee benefits matters, including design and administration of tax-qualified retirement, welfare benefit, executive compensation, and equity-based compensation plans, and employee benefit and executive compensation aspects of mergers and acquisitions. Experience with taxation issues related to executive compensation arrangements (including Sections 409A, 83, and 280G of the Internal Revenue Code), and ERISA fiduciary requirements applicable to retirement plan and IRA investments preferred. 

Candidates should demonstrate a strong client service orientation and an ability to contribute to a collaborative work environment. Portable business is not necessary. The ideal candidate will have large regional or national law firm experience. Candidates must have a J.D. degree from an ABA-accredited law school (top-20 preferred) and an active license to practice in at least one U.S. state and ability to fulfill the requirements to become licensed promptly in Virginia.
