Overview
“In the world of business, there is no such thing as a cookie-cutter deal. The Hirschler approach is uniquely tailored to each individual transaction so our clients can trust an effective and efficient value-add.”
Brent’s practice focuses on corporate transactions, acquisition financing and general business matters, including mergers and acquisitions, alternative entity and fund formation, business negotiations and strategic partnering transactions for a broad range of clients, including closely-held entities, middle-market companies, tax-exempt organizations and private equity sponsors.
Inspired by a number of small businesses owned and operated by his family, Brent pursued a graduate business education while studying law, which provides him the ability to take an interdisciplinary approach when addressing legal and business challenges. Before joining the firm, Brent clerked for Vice Chancellor Joseph R. Slights III of the Delaware Court of Chancery and President Judge Jan R. Jurden of the Delaware Superior Court. While attending Virginia Tech as an undergraduate, Brent served as Student Government President. He remains active in the Hokie community and serves as a member on the University’s Young Alumni Board.

Beyond the Law
When he’s not cheering Hokie sports teams to victory, Brent can be found outdoors hiking Virginia with his wife and dogs, working his way through his “Bucket List Breweries,” kicking back to live music or exploring a new place and culture during his travels. Italy, Kiawah Island, Senegal and Key West are among his favorite destinations. Brent is a proud collector of vinyl records, books and board games, especially first pressings and editions.
