John Ivins Joins Panel Discussion on Hospital-Physician Discipline Process, Application of HCQIA for VBA Virginia Health Care Practitioners' Roundtable

On October 24, 2019, John Ivins participated in a panel discussion with Heman Marshall of Woods Rogers, Kim Daniel of Hancock Daniel and Michael Guanzon of Christian & Barton on the Hospital-Physician Discipline Process and application of the Healthcare Quality Improvement Act of 1986 (HCQIA) for the VBA's 15th Annual Virginia Health Care Practioners' Roundtable. Panelists discussed various federal and state laws, including certain Virginia statutory reporting requirements and those pertaining to the National Practitioner Data Bank, as well as strategies and options for addressing disputes from the perspectives of both the physician and hospital.
