Hirschler is pleased to announce that it has been recognized as a Top Workplace in the Richmond region by the Richmond Times-Dispatch based on employee feedback. The firm is recognized in the publication’s small business category (124 or fewer local employees), and Hirschler is among the 80 businesses selected after 918 companies were invited to participate. Final rankings for each category will be announced in a special section of The Times-Dispatch on Sunday, May 10.

“Recognition as a Top Workplace is meaningful because it reflects the feedback of Hirschler attorneys and staff,” said Courtney Paulk, president of Hirschler. “We are pleased to provide a safe and enjoyable work environment that enables our employees to thrive professionally as they provide exceptional service to firm clients.”

To determine the region’s best places to work, the Richmond Times-Dispatch partnered with workplace survey company Energage to invite 918 companies in the Richmond region to participate in the program this year. Energage ultimately surveyed 114 companies, which employ nearly 35,980 people in the Richmond area, and received survey responses from approximately 14,870 employees. Questions covered numerous topics affecting workplace life, from their views on leadership, managers, pay and benefits to training and work-life balance. The survey also addressed other factors related to how employers encourage community involvement, advance professional success and promote diversity.

Honorees were divided into four categories, including small (124 or fewer employees), midsize (125-399 employees), large (400-899 employees) and mega (900+ employees).
