Hirschler Fleischer is pleased to announce that partner Lisa J. Hedrick has been honored as the 2016 Young Lawyer of the Year by the Richmond Bar Association. Hedrick is recognized for her active leadership in the organization and her continued contributions to the legal profession. This news comes on the heels of Hedrick’s election as a partner in the firm earlier this month.

“This achievement is reflective of Lisa’s outstanding leadership in the practice of law,” said James L. Weinberg, president of Hirschler Fleischer. “Her dedication to achieving business-oriented results further advances the firm’s ability to provide quality counsel, and we are pleased to see her hard work recognized.”

She counsels clients in complex matters dealing with mergers and acquisitions, capital raising, private equity, business formation and general business law. At Hirschler Fleischer, Hedrick is a member of the Women’s Initiatives Network and the Recruiting Committee.

Outside of the firm, Hedrick is an active member of the American Bar Association’s Mergers and Acquisitions Committee, the Virginia Bar Association and the Virginia State Bar. Additionally, she is actively involved in the National Association of Women Business Owners’ Richmond Chapter and the Richmond Bar Association’s Business Section Executive Committee.

Hedrick earned her undergraduate degree from the College of William and Mary, and her law degree from Washington and Lee School of Law.

The Richmond Bar Association maintains the honor and dignity of the profession of law, promotes legal science and the administration of justice, and cultivates social interaction among its members. Through the years, the Richmond Bar has fulfilled those objectives while adjusting to meet the challenges of the rapidly changing profession.
