With more than three decades of transactional tax law experience, Chris is known for his ability to close deals efficiently, resolve disputes constructively, and structure sophisticated solutions that withstand challenges. With an emphasis on mergers and acquisitions and commercial real estate transactions, his practice has a proven track record of successfully navigating a multitude of complex transactions.

Chris combines the technical knowledge of a seasoned tax attorney with the judgment of a trusted advisor, helping clients achieve their goals with confidence and clarity. Through his practical, cost-effective advice and creative approach, he anticipates and solves problems before they arise. Working closely with business owners and investors he is adept at designing tax planning structures that are both strategic and resilient.

Issues Chris has advised clients on include, but are not limited to, corporate acquisitions, 1031 exchanges, putting together commercial real estate deal structures, in-bound and out-bound international tax planning and structuring tenancy-in-common deals.  Chris views himself as a master craftsman when it comes to drafting operating, partnership and business trust agreements and other legal documents, making sure his clients are protected on all sides of a transaction.

Chris also is a sophisticated estate planner who specializes in advising business owners and real estate owners how to minimize both federal and state death taxation in a way that maximizes wealth passing to younger generations while minimizing administrative burden on younger generations.
