On April 23, Carrie O'Malley moderated a panel discussion titled “Coffee and Conversation with Local Developers” featuring Combined Properties, Inc.’s Kathy Bonnafe, Urban Atlantic’s Caroline Kenney, Cityline Partners’ Donna Shafer, The Rockefeller Group’s Hilary Goldfarb, and Aimco Apartment Homes’ Kelly Nagel. Panelists shared insights on projects in the DC market and updates on capital raising, pricing, upcoming projects, and outlook on trends and key risk facing developers in 2018 and beyond. Carrie and Hirschler Tysons partner Kristen Burgers also hosted a round table discussion on PACE.
Following the event, attendees shared:
“I am not exaggerating when I say that your panel discussion last week was one of the best we’ve had. Carrie, you did a beautiful job moderating. It was entertaining, yet content rich and enlightening. Feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. Skimming through the event photos, you can see our audience laughing and fully engaged with the discussion. Incredible! Thank you all for setting the tone for a warm, collaborative and educational event.”

Thanks for including us! Carrie was a masterful moderator, and I think it helped that all of us (unplanned, I imagine) knew at least a couple of other people on the panel, which helped with chemistry. I thoroughly enjoyed participating – thanks!
-Kelly Nagel, panelist
just wanted to thank you again for doing such a fantastic job moderating our panel yesterday. I’ve been on a lot of panels over the years and, I must say, you were one of the most organized and best moderators I’ve worked with! What a fabulous group of women too!
-Kathy Bonnafe, panelist
