Allison's practice focuses on commercial litigation and bankruptcy. She represents clients in a wide range of matters, including breach of contract, breach of warranty, fraud, conspiracy, and defamation disputes. Her practice also includes advising debtors, creditors, and trustees in bankruptcy proceedings and corporate restructurings, as well as representing parties in interest in bankruptcy-related litigation.
Allison also applies her litigation expertise to represent government contractors in bid and post-award protests before the Government Accountability Office and the U.S. Court of Federal Claims.
Prior to joining Hirschler, Allison served as a law clerk for the US Bankruptcy Court for the District of Connecticut and the Court of Common Pleas for the 39th Judicial District of Pennsylvania.

Represented plaintiffs and defendants in various matters, including multi-million-dollar breach-of-contract, defamation, and fraud actions
Defended claims for avoidance and recovery of fraudulent and preferential transfers in multiple jurisdictions, including the Eastern District of Virginia, the District of Delaware, and the District of New Jersey
Represented chapter 11 trustee in the administration of multiple bankruptcy estates, the resolution of contested matters, and the prosecution of adversary proceedings
Assisted with the prosecution and resolution of numerous actions to avoid and recover fraudulent transfers and subsequent transfers brought by court-appointed fiduciaries, resulting in recovery of millions of dollars for creditors
Represented creditors in multiple jurisdictions in asserting administrative and general unsecured claims
Advised entities, including home renovation companies and a nonprofit, on restructuring and bankruptcy options and assisted with commencing bankruptcy proceedings

Beyond the Law
A native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Allison devotes much of her free time to following Pittsburgh sports. As a Virginia resident, Allison enjoys her proximity to the beach and Northern Virginia’s historical sites and museums. On weekends, she can frequently be found spending time outside with her husband (a Judge Advocate in the Marine Corps) and her dog (a black Labrador retriever).
